Samuel H. Coleman

Samuel Harmon Coleman fought for our country during World War I. He was born in New Salem, Pennsylvania on December 6th 1887 on a farm where he lived until the age of 6 when his family moved to Vandergrift, Pennsylvania.  Mr. Coleman registered for the draft in 1917 in No.4 Westmoreland County, PA.   Mr. Coleman was 30 years old when he participated in the war, but tragically never returned home to his parents. He was a private in the army during The Great War. Samuel Harmon Coleman died while the war was still happening in 1918, of disease.
