Rowley, Doyle L.
Doyle L. "Tub" Rowley, 80, of North Vandergrift, peacefully passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, of Parkinson's disease. Born Aug. 7, 1930, in North Vandergrift, he was the son of the late Paul and Cora C. Rowley. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family. As a lifelong resident of North Vandergrift, he dedicated his life as third generation owner to Rowley's Market. He was a 1947 graduate of Vandergrift High School. Honorably, he served his country in the Air Force as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. He was a member of the Kiskiminetas Lodge No. 617 Free and Accepted Masons, Vandergrift, and First United Church of Christ, in Apollo. He was an avid deer, turkey and bear hunter. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hiking and camping with his family.
