George R. Ripple
George Robert Ripple was born on November 9, 1893 in New Salem, Pennsylvania to the parents of William C. and Sadie Ripple. Later he moved to Delmont, Pennsylvania. At the age of 23 he enlisted in the draft for World War I. George Ripple was part of the Army in the 331st Infantry Regiment, 83th Division achieving the rank of First Lieutenant. After the war in 1918 he married Nellie C. Grove and they had three son, Robert, George William and James Allen. On July 1, 1933 in Buncombe County, North Carolina George passed away at the age of 40.
