Patsy Palatella 

Pasquale Joseph "Patsy" Palattella, 78, of Vandergrift, our wonderful father and grandpa, passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born March 23, 1932, to Francesco and Maria Vinella Palattella, he was also known as "Chappy" in his younger days. Patsy was a 1950 graduate of Vandergrift High School and served in the Army during the Korean War as a cook in 1952. In 1957, Patsy married Elizabeth Bazala, and raised two daughters. Patsy was a manager at Schenley Distillery and also worked at NUMEC. He then retired from Allegheny Ludlum. Patsy enjoyed his grand boys, sports, and playing "Cinch." He was an active, proud member of the Bari Club and the VFW in Vandergrift. Pasty also belonged to St. Gertrude Parish. Patsy was preceded in death by his wife, Bette, in 1997. Patsy's survivors include his daughters, Karen (Brian) Brady, of Vandergrift, and Patti Jo (Joseph) Bastin, of Frazer Township; grandsons, Nicholaus, Joey, Collin and Sean; and a brother, Lou (Marcie) Palattella, of California.
