Casimir J. Luczak

     Casimir J.  Luczak was born in 1928 in East Vandegrift to  Joseph Luczak and Gabrielle Luczak. He went to Virginia Polytechnic Institute on a football scholarship in 1948. There he was an honors student and an exceptional football player. In 1951, he was voted the outstanding football player in Virginia, and was awarded the Williams Award that same year for his remarkable leadership skills. He was inducted into the Virginia Tech Football Hall of Fame in 2000. He married Elizabeth Crockett Luczak right after college and they had two daughters. Elizabeth passed away and Casimir remarried to  Karen H. Luczak. He severed as a second lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean War. After his severed he moved down to Roanoke, Va. Casimir was a respected business man and a leader in the life insurance industry. He was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Casimir J. Luczak passed away on November 1, 2014 at the age of 86.
