Leo R. Pachis

Leo R. Paschis was born in 1923 in Pennsylvania. He resided in Baltimore, Maryland prior to the war but enlisted in the army in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was employed in the production of industrial chemicals. Leo served as a Private First Class in the 228th Field Artillery Battalion. He was apart of the 29th Infantry Division during the D-day invasions in June of 1944.  On February 1st, 1945, Leo R. Paschis was killed in action. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, American Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. He was not married and did not have any children. He is buried at the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, Netherlands.
