John Kulczycki

John Kulczycki was born on February 3, 1927 in North Vandergrift Pennsylvania. He was one of three children the Kulczycki family. John enlisted to the Navy in 1943 at the age of 16 before completing high school. He was assigned to a destroyer escort and was in the Navy for 3 years. While in action his ship patrolled the Southern Pacific and John achieved the rank S1 or Seaman First Class. Soon the war was over and in 1946 he returned home. On his return, he completed his high school education and graduated 1947 with his younger brother Walter. After graduating, John met his spouse (Jean) and was later married. He moved to Sarver Pennsylvania where he worked at the Keystone Box Factory. John died on January 2, 1987 while still living in Sarver. He was buried in Mount Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights Pennsylvania and was survived by his brother and sister.
