James R. Cuffia
James Robert Cuffia was born in Leechburg, Pennsylvania on November 15th, 1916. At age 23, Cuffia enlisted into the military. He is a World War II veteran, having served in the Air Force. He was a 20-year veteran of the Air Force. James Cuffia served as a weather observer and retired in 1963. He was a member of the Leechburg VFW, and enjoyed carving and woodworking. Mr. Cuffia was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and John R. Cuffia; also 1 niece Nancy Holm. James Cuffia died on Saturday March 5th, 2011, at age 94. His memory lives on through a nephew John Robert Cuffia Jr. and through Nancy Holm’s 4 children. Mr. Cuffia was buried at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.
