Harold D. Coffman Jr.

Harold D. Coffman, Jr was born in November 20th, 1925, in Vandergrift, PA. He served in the Navy as a radio operator on a Patrol torpedo boat in the Pacific Theater. After the War Mr.Coffman went for his bachelor’s degree in zoology and secondary education from the University of Pittsburgh. After this he taught biology at Kiski Area High School for 30 years and taught ecology and environmental sciences at the Penn State New Kensington Campus for 20 years. Mr.Coffman retired from teaching in 1986. He was also  the president and assisting minister of the Forks-Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mr.Coffman’s interest included archaeology,photography,genealogy,spending time with his grandchildren, and computer games.Unfortunately Harold D. Coffman, Jr passed away in his home on January 25th, 2006 at 80 years old.He was buried in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
