Frank DiMenna 

Frank DiMenna was born in 1913 in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania and died during war, on the supposed date of July 9th, 1945. Frank had four siblings named Henry, Theresa, George, and Mary.  He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 29 on October 23rd, 1942 and stood about 63 inches tall and weighed 153 pounds. When he enlisted he was never married nor did he have an kids. Shortly after he enlisted in the army, his brother George followed in his footsteps and Henry enlisted in the United States Navy and fought in the Pacific Fleet. The United States Army named Frank as a corporal while serving with the 12th Armored Division, 43rd Tank Battalion, and the European Theaters of Operation. He served under General George Patton and during a hard fought battle against the Germans, he was captured and put into a prisoner of war camp. According to war telegram sent back to the family, he died in the internment camp. DiMenna was awarded the Purple Heart for his selfless actions while honoring the United States in war and his memory will not soon be forgotten.
