Albert F. Franczyk

Albert was born in 1923 in Vandergrift Pennsylvania. After attending and finishing high school, Albert enlisted into the United States Army on the 21st of January 1943. He was to serve for the duration of the war plus six months at the discretion of the President. While serving Albert acted as an oxygen instructor at the Ardmore Army Airfield. Albert eventually attained the rank of sergeant until him, along with 9 others, perished in a training accident while flying their B-17 Flying Fortress. Albert died on February 12th, 1944. He was unmarried and working as a salesman before enlisting.
