Originally from Vandergrift, PA, he spent 4 years in the US Air Force. After the US Air Force, he attended Pennsylvania State University where he recieved a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Class of 1959. Upon graduation from college, he spent 30 years with the Federal Government, General Accounting Office in Washington D.C., living in Northern Virginia. After retirement he and his wife, Evelyn, moved to New Bern, North Carolina.
