Roland E. Wilson

Roland E. Wilson grew up in North Vandergrift, and graduated from Kiski Area High School in June of 1967.  From June of 1968 to June of 1989, Wilson served in the Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Wilson joined the United States Air Force in June of 1968 and began basic training in Amarillo AFB, Texas.  From there, Roland Wilson completed his technical training at Sheppard AFB, Texas, and went on to be an air transportation specialist.  He spent 17 years working in Military Airlift Command and four years as a Sergeant in the Air Force.  Roland Wilson retired after 21 years of service from the Lackland, Texas Air Force Base.  After separating from service, he was a bus operator for the VIA Metropolitan Transit in San Antonio, Texas for 19 years.
