Kenneth Fraley

Kenneth Fraley graduated from Kiski Area High School in 1975 and was also a part of the school’s wrestling team, making it an easy transition going into recruit training for the navy that same year.

In Mr. Fraley’s time in the service, he endured one Wespac Cruise running from the United States to parts of Asia such as Hong Kong ,Japan, Korea, and the Philippines before returning to the United States.  He also was a part of five Med Cruises and one Cruise to Cuba, working up 16 hours a day. His rank in the navy was an E-5 MM2 (Petty Officer Second Class).  Dedicating his time to our country’s navy meant that Mr. Fraley would only see water many days of his enlistment term. On his many trips to overseas foreign countries, he got to see how they lived, which put into perspective how fortunate we are in the United States.

Once Mr. Fraley completed his time in the service and had picked up valuable skills along the way, he was able to acquire a job at PPG where he has been employed for 38 years.  Kenneth has maintained his residence in or around the Alle-Kiski Valley throughout his lifetime. The Kiski Area Veterans Website is proud to tell the story of Kenneth Fraley!
