Dave Watson

Dave Watson was born at a Pittsburgh hospital and was raised in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.  He attended Kiski Area High School, graduating proudly as part of the class of 1976. After graduating from Kiski Area Dave enlisted in the Navy, serving from 1976-1980.

Dave proudly served during the heart of the Cold War as an interior communications electrician. His service time took him to the following locations: San Diego, CA; Groton, CT; Holy Loch in Scotland; and Newport News VA. He was stationed on the USS Nathaniel Greene SSBN 636 a Nuclear Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine where he received his submarine qualification Dolphins. Dave participated in 5 - 3 month patrols in the North Atlantic before his sub put into Newport News shipyard for refit. 

After his time serving, Dave worked as a business communications engineer.  He is married to his wife, Anita Roberts Watson, who went to Kiski as well. His three children and his sisters, nephew, and other family members attended the school as well.  The Kiski Area Community thanks Dave Watson for his time of service!
