Jared Todhunter

Jared Todhunter was born May 23, 1986 and was raised in the Alle-Kiski Valley.  During his time in high school Jared was a proud member of the Kiski Area Marching Band and Wind Ensemble.  In 2005 Jared graduated from Kiski Area High School and enlisted in the Army shortly thereafter. 


Jared deployed with the “Patriot Brigade”, the 4th Brigade Combat Team in the army and later with the 1st CAB 1st Infantry Division, serving in Iraq from 2007-09 and in Afghanistan from 2010-11 before returning to Afghanistan in 2013.  The brigade was very active in Afghanistan, helping to establish the first U.S. National Command Element in Kandahar which facilitated the transfer of authority in the region to NATO-led forces. His unit was also deployed to Iraq where it operated forward operating bases and twenty two joint security stations.  


Jared separated from service in 2014 as a Medical Retirement and joined the NVHL as part of the Wounded Warrior Project, playing for the Johnstown Chiefs. He also is working on his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography.
