Thomas A. Blanciak

Thomas A. Blanciak was born on Jan. 18, 1946 in Vandergrift, PA.  Mr. Blanciak entered the Vietnam War at the age of 22 and served from 1968-1970 as a Rank 5 Specialist in the Army.  He was a part of the 5th Special Forces Group (SFG) Unit stationed in Na Trang, Vietnam. For his service Blanciak was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, and Parachute Jump Wings.  After the war he graduated from High Point College in North Carolina. Mr. Blanciak returned to live in Leechburg, PA, with his wife, Christine Blanciak. He is now a father and grandfather. Blanciak was a shift manager for US Steel for 32 years. He is also a member of the Vandergrift Golf Club, Kiskiminetas Watershed, Association, Austin Costello Sportsman’s Club, Vandergrift VFW, and the National Rifle Association.
