Joseph F. Kardos*
Joseph Kardos was born December 2, 1945 in Vandergrift, Pa. He proudly served in the Marine Corps Branch achieving the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Kardos sadly passed away in Quang Nam, South Vietnam on February 3, 1968 at the young age of 22. He was the victim of small arms fire and was listed as a ground casualty Mr. Kardos’ great courage will not go unnoticed, his name is displayed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall (Panel 37E-Line 09). Mr. Kardos is buried at the Saint Gertrude Memorial Cemetery, located in Vandergrift, Pa.
