Natale Roberto
Born on October 13, 1916 in Noci, Italy to a family of 8, Natale Roberto emigrated to the United States at just the age of 4. Before the war, Natale was self employed in Vandergrift, PA as a barber. At the age of 23, with only a Grammar School’s education, Natale enlisted into the army, claiming his age was 24. In the war, he rose to the rank of private, and served for four years. Returning from the war, Natale Roberto found a wife in Carmella Rose Pugliese and happily had a son and daughter. Natale Roberto died peacefully in 2009 at the age of 93 and is buried in Vandergrift, PA.
