Melvin R. Dunmire
Melvin R. Dunmire was a Navy Veteran. He proudly served with the CV10 Unit on the USS Yorktown, also known as “The Fighting Lady”, in both World War II and the Korean War. He was 84 when he passed away on May 27, 2010. He lived in the town of Saltsburg and prior to his retirement Melvin was a bricklayer at J&L Steel in Pittsburgh. Mr. Dunmire passed away with his daughter, grandson, and wife by his side. Mr. Dunmire is buried in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
