Clyde A. Floyd was born on September 20, 1919 in Vandergrift. He was a son of Charles and Irene Floyd. He served in the Navy as a pharmacist during World War II. After the war, he returned to Vandergrift, and began to work at U.S. Steel. He was married to Rachel Willard Floyd. They proceeded to have a daughter named Cindy. He also had a brother named Charles. Clyde was 88 when he died on January 11, 2008 at his home in Erie Pennsylvania.
