Albert M. Hrobak 

Albert Michael Hrobak was born July 30, 1919 in Monessen to the late Valentine and Sophie Hrobak. Albert had been a resident of Kiski Valley since 1922, and he was member of Vandergrift St. Gertrude’s Church. He worked as a bartender in Club Louis. He also worked as a bartender in GI Bar on Grant Avenue from his time of release from the Armed forces in 1946. During World War 2, he served as a corporal with the 160th Infantry, 40th Division, serving most of his time over seas in the Asiatic-Pacific and Philippine theaters. He entered the army January 28, 1944 and was discharged January 18, 1946. Albert married Mary McGranahan Hrobak to which he had four children, one son (Albert Jr.) and three daughters (Rita Ann, Kathleen, and Patricia Ann). Albert M. Hrobak died at the age of 33 in Aspinwall Veterans Hospital Sunday March 8, 1953 from an illness several days before.
