William Shaffer
William Shaffer was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Israel Shaffer. He entered the service on June 23, 1916. The assignment he was given was to hancock and attached to the Headquarters. Shaffer was in the 110th Infantry, 28th Division. He proceeded to go overseas in May of 1917 and returned in May of 1919. When he was discharged he Shaffer was granted the rank of a corporal.
