Paul Holy
Paul Holy was born on August 6th 1886 in Siklasoros, Austria-Hungary, and moved to the United States as a child in 1909, specifically to Vandergrift. Holy enlisted on the 5th of June, 1917, and fought in the war for the Westmoreland County No. 4 unit (US Army) from 1917 to 1918. Holy had a wife and child, and was illiterate. He had previously worked at the Keystone Coal Company. Paul was honorably discharged as an Enemy Alien at the rank of Private. He never fought overseas, and never learned to speak English, as his native tongue was croatian. His death date is unknown, as well as the location of his burial site.
