Modesto L. Gianini

Modesto Leon Gianini was born on August 15th, 1895 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. He is the son of Joseph Gianini and Philomena Gianini. Later in his life he moved to Apollo, Armstrong, Pennsylvania.  At the age of 23 Modesto was enlisted in the draft for World War 1. Modesto Gianini was a part of the Army Base Hospital # 62 M-402 3rd Phase. Modesto served in World War I from May 29th, 1918 to June 11th, 1919 leaving the military with the rank of private.  In 1942 at the age of 47 he was drafted into World War II in the fourth registration.   On December 20th, 1991 at the age of 97 Modesto Gianini died of natural causes in New Concord, Ohio.
