Lloyd Beatty

Lloyd Beatty was born in Markle, Pennsylvania, to Perry and Lillie Beatty, on December 31, 1893.  His hometown was 213 Lowell St. Vandergrift, West Co, Pennsylvania.  Unlike many Lloyd did not need to lie about his age when he enrolled into the Army; he was 25 yrs old when he started to serve.  He was part of Co. A. 320th Inf. 80th Div. and during his service he served from April 4, 1918 - June 8, 1919.  The highest rank he achieved during that time was Sergeant.  After his return from the war Lloyd Beatty went on to be an engineer and live out his life back in his home town until he died in 1959.  Lloyd’s family consisted of his wife Ethel Beatty and their two kids Lois and Juanita Beatty.
