Frank Burkett

Frank Burkett was born in Westmoreland country on March 18, 1872. He lived on Grant Street in Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was 28 when he was drafted into the war. Although before the war he worked in a grocery store. He was the son of Harrison and Catharine Burkett, both born here in Pennsylvania. He was taught how to speak, read, and write in the English language. He was a white male with brown hair and brown eyes, and stood at 5’11. He was also a Warrant Officer during the war. After the war he returned home to live out his days with his family, and died at the age of 72 in November 1944.
