Reading Academies

Based on House Bill 3 (HB 3), all K-3 teachers, including special education teachers, and principals are required to attend the HB 3 Reading Academies. Additional KISD staff that are required to complete Reading Academies are: assistant principals, 4th grade teachers (all content areas), reading and math interventionists, and GT specialists.

KISD participants will be enrolled in Reading Academies (Comprehensive Model) through Region 11 for the 2024-2025 school year. All cohorts (ELA, RLA, and administrator) will run from dates TBD.
