  • Epic! Books for Kids

At Epic! Books, students can access thousands of books of all genres and levels. Students currently in Mrs. King's Take Flight class have a profile set up for them and can edit their avatar and reading preferences to personalize it.


  • Reading Rockets

Reading Rockets has great resources for parents here: www.readingrockets.org/audience/parents. Resources include videos, articles, activities, and ideas for readers of all types.

  • Orton Gillingham for All

On this website, parents can find helpful tips for understanding rules of syllable division, accenting, affixes, and much more. There are free downloads of practice sheets, and you can subscribe to the blog so you'll have easy access to the plethora of resources offered here.

  • Learning Ally

Students can log into Learning Ally from Clever. On the website, they can search for books and add audiobooks to their bookshelf. To listen to an audiobook, they must first download the app as instructed on the website. Then they can listen from anywhere!

  • Talking Book Program

The Talking Book Program (TBP) provides free library services to qualifying Texans with visual, physical, or reading disabilities.
The TBP collection consists of more than 100,000 titles, including hundreds of titles in Spanish, and some in French, German, Russian, and other languages.
