Classroom Policies / Procedures
It is the responsibility of the student to come prepared to class each day. ALL students must have a notebook and pen / pencil to class each day.
ALL students are expect to be on time for class. For any questions refer to the KHS Tardy Policy found in the Student Handbook.
KHS Student ID's are required to be worn by all students in the classroom. ID's will be removed during a lab setting.
Food is NOT allowed in the classroom. Clear water bottles are permitted.
Horseplay or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated in the classroom or lab setting.
Attendance is a MUST for this course. Make-up work can be completed Monday - Friday during tutorials from 7:20 - 7:45. Failure to complete make-up or missing assignments will result in a zero (0).
ALL students are required to follow the KISD Dress Code. Violations will not be tolerated and can result in a referral to the KHS Administrators. Closed toe shoes and proper PPE will be required for lab participation.
ALWAYS follow the Safety Rules of the lab. This is strictly enforced.
Cell phones, headphones, and other electronics are not allowed in the class.
Be engaged, this is an open discussion class, you will participate and work with everyone in class.
No standing up before the bell rings!
*Students and Parents must sign a Safety Contract.
*Students must pass the Safety Exam with a score of 90% or higher.
