Red Folders: Each day your child will bring home a red take-home folder. Please check the folder every day. Important notes and homework are placed in the folder. The behavior chart is stapled into the red folder. No mark on the behavior chart means your child has had a great day! If an issue arises, then I will write a message on the behavior chart. The red folder serves as communication between parents, teachers, and the school. Please return the red folder every day!
Green Folders: The green folder is the Reading homework Folder. This folder will go home Monday through Thursday. Please listen to your child read, then sign the parent log. I will write down the story that your child is assigned to read for homework. I encourage students to read the story at least two times each evening. Students receive a treat and a treasure for completing 20 nights of reading. I inform the students that the more they read, the better they will get! It's true! PLEASE RETURN THE FOLDER EVERY DAY!
