PERFORMING ARTS

Students in the High school Theatre and Stagecraft programs have been developing and performing in many projects over the course of the year. These include a verbatim theatre performance written and performed by students and based on interviews with their families, a devised black comedy based on phobias and a scripted performance called 'Things I know to be True' to mention but a few! Stagecraft students have worked on the Middle School Musical and the High School musical 'Blood Brothers'.

'Blood Brothers' by Willy Russell was the Spring musical in the High School and it was going to be performed on 23 through 25 April this academic year. Upon our transition to a virtual learning space, we continued to work on the show in the hope that we would return to school in time to perform. See the PTV interviews attached! We are now set to perform the show in the fall of next school year and we hope to bring the community back together again with our amazing work and collaboration!

In this clip from PTV, released on January 29th 2020, cast members discuss their experience with "Blood Brothers" rehearsals in the show's early stages.

In this clip from PTV, released on March 31st 2020, cast members discuss how they overcame the challenges presented by a transition to a virtual learning space.

Eventually, it was decided that the opening of the show would be moved to Fall 2020. Hope to see you there!
