Here you will find various 2-week character trait lessons that focus on one character trait per day where students will be required to answer questions about that particular trait; we have also included short mindfulness lessons. Students should also work to identify how they are feeling each day. The mindfulness lessons allow them to focus and can work to relax and calm them. This is such a powerful tool that as adults we can do with the kids. It centers us and allows us to release any negativity or unwanted feelings we may feel. There is also a worksheet the student can do with you that talks about their frustration and what triggers them.
Also, we have included a few videos (3-5 minutes long) that you can do with your child. Some of the videos are designed to help them identify their feelings and others are short, grade-specific mindfulness videos you can do at home. For example, viewing them before bed is a great way prepare their brains to slow down so they can sleep well.
