Jordan Johnson is the 6th Grade ELA Learning Coordinator at the VLP.
“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself”. - John Dewey
The true test of success comes when you run up against challenges in life. Jordan see times of testing as opportunities.
As a relentless pursuer of growth, Jordan's love for supporting students in the areas of academic achievement, personal and social development by creating and implementing hands-on educational activities and programs stems from her bigger purpose to change things for the better. For me, problems are opportunities - she steps toward them. Like most special educators, Jordan thrives under intense pressure and challenge.
In her efforts to constantly push boundaries, innovate, and step towards problems; combined with her significant breadth of experience in student development and academic counseling a special educator was born.

Email: Jene.Warren@kippdc.org
Jené Warren is the 6th Grade Math Learning Coordinator at the VLP. She was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and now resides in the Dallas area. She attended Arizona State University where she studied Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Strategic Media and PR.
After college she moved to Los Angeles and worked a few years in marketing; she then decided it was time for a change. Jené wanted to have a career where she could advocate for equity, social change, and impact lives. She decided to move back to her home state to begin a career in teaching. Having been a nationally ranked athlete herself, Jené coached middle school girls’ sports for 4 years, and this is her 8th year teaching math.
In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, try new restaurants, and spend time with her husband and kids. Her goal and purpose is to continue to inspire, challenge and educate young minds into achieving their wildest dreams.
She is happy to be a part of the reimagining of the school experience with the VLP at Kipp DC.
