3rd Grade Team

Maura Gabriel is a third grade teacher at VLP.  She originally is from Rockford, IL and attended University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  After graduating from college, she moved to Charleston, SC where she taught 8th grade science for three years.  She then moved to a charter school in downtown Charleston where she taught K-5 science, kindergarten, and preschool 3/4 for 6 years.  Mrs. Gabriel joined VLP in January 2022 during a move from Charleston back to the Midwest.  Mrs. Gabriel has a passion for encouraging a love of learning and books.  When she is not teaching, Mrs. Gabriel enjoys walking with her children to the park, reading, biking with her husband and going to Lake Michigan!
