Counting activities are a great way to teach toddlers to count and recognize numbers using counting games and play based activities. 

One-to-one correspondence in early years is the foundational math skill of pairing one object with one number name (e.g., touching three items while counting "one, two, three"). It ensures each item is counted once, teaching that the last number spoken represents the total, rather than just rote memorizing numbers.
