Congratulation to Haylie Simpson, she ended her RMS cross country career on a win! This past weekend, Haylie became the first ever Roscoe Middle School athlete to win the IESA 3A Cross Country State championship! She placed 1st out of over 200 of Illinois best middle school runners and gets to call herself the 2025 State Champion. Way to go, Haylie!

Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams for their victories vs. Harlem last night to close out their regular season schedule. Both teams will play in the Northern Conference Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. The JV team has secured the #4 seed and will play #5 seed Stephen Mack at 10:30 am in Freeport. The Varsity has secured the #2 seed in the tournament and will be playing #7 seed Freeport @ Rockford Christian - that game time has not yet been posted. Best of luck to both teams this weekend!

That win advanced them to the semifinal round on Tuesday at 400 pm vs. Rockford Christian. The JV Soccer team completed their regular season undefeated, and automatically advanced to the semifinal round of their tournament. They will also play here at Roscoe on Tuesday at 5:15 pm. Congratulations to the girl's cross country team for placing third in the Rock River Conference and for Juliana Peterson, who placed 19th, Ellie Hughes, who placed 12th overall, and Haylie Simpson for winning the conference championship placing first. The boys won the Rock River Conference title and had 6 team members place in the top 20. Teig Delong, Emerson Walker, Haden Jang, Miles Lindberg, 6th grader Ben McLarty placed 3rd overall, and 7th Grader Peyton Hoover placed 2nd overall.

Remember, if you are trying out for any sports, you must have an updated sports physical in the nurse's office before you can tryout for the team.
