Kingston Elementary uses Zones of Regulation curriculum for K-6 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). The lessons and learning activities are designed to help students recognize when they are in the different Zones as well as learn how to use strategies to change or stay in the Zone they are in based on what's expected. In addition to addressing self-regulation, the students will gain an increased vocabulary of social-emotional terms, skills in reading other people’s facial expressions, perspective about how others see and react to their behavior, insight into events that trigger their behavior, calming and alerting strategies, and problem solving skills.

My name is Raeann Gentner. I grew up in this area and am a graduate of Mayville Community Schools. I graduated with my bachelors degree from Alma College and a Masters in Social Work from University of Michigan. I strive to ensure all students are happy, safe, and successful, especially in the school building. My favorite part of this role is seeing students light up when they have success.
I currently reside in Mayville with my husband, Dan, and our two children, Hudson and Grayce. As a family we enjoy camping, having movie nights, and spending time outdoors.
