Welcome to Mr. Darling's Class
Kingston High School
Kingston High School
My name is Brent Darling. I have worked at Kingston Schools since January 2011. From 2011-2020, I was a paraprofessional at the elementary school, where I ran the SRC Room, substitute taught and helped with reading interventions. Most of the students may also remember taping K.E.S. Morning Announcements with me for several years. For the 2020-21 school year, I moved over to the high school to run the Online Learning Lab. After that school year, I was hired as a high school Social Studies teacher.
I attended Kingston Schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade, graduating in 2000. I attended Central Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education, double-majoring in Social Studies and History. In 2018-19, I went back to college at Grand Valley State University to add an elementary endorsement to my teaching certificate. I am an avid reader and love to read books about history, sports and science fiction. My hobby is collecting sports programs. I have a large collection of programs from several sports, including nearly all of the minor-professional hockey teams that have played in Michigan. Programs are a great time capsule of not only that particular sports team, but also of the region they are from. Here are a few of the examples from my collection.
Have a great year!
