The vision is that we are creating a Youth Led program to meet KRC’s vision of bringing youth to the Kings River. There will be a myriad of activities and learning opportunities for youth to have experiences on the Kings River. In this vision Youth between the ages of 10-18 would be able to participate in this free program, youth would be able to participate in, but not limited to, the following, increasing their mental health, exposure to a multitude of careers, access to water and life safety trainings, access to activities such as hiking, kayaking, access to the outdoors to experience multiple seasons, and also have access to the rich cultural history of the Kings River! 

The Youth Led Program was envisioned by a group of people that volunteered with Kings River Conservancy. There was a need for youth to "get outside" and coincidentally the State of California saw that too! There was a grant proposal for getting youth outside and with the visions of the Conservancy and the availability of the grant therefore birthed the Kings River Conservancy Youth Led Program. 

This grant allows the opportunity of youth ages 10 -18 to apply to be a part of this program with zero costs! Kings River Conservancy Youth Led Program will provide breakfast, snacks, and lunch for the day of the event! Other items will be given to students from the grant as well as from Kings River Conservancy. 

We ask that you fill out forms that are needed for participants to have access to this program. There are 3 forms: 

1. Kings River Conservancy Youth Led Program form (only has to be filled out once)

2. KRC Activity Release Form (Only has to be filled out once) 

3. Youth Led Monthly Form (Must be filled out for each event youth would like to attend) 

All 3 forms must be completed in order for the participant to be enrolled in the program. Great News! If you attend more than 1 event in the calendar year, then forms 1 and 2 only need to be filled out once, Youth Led Monthly Form would be the only form you need to fill out each time you enroll for an event.
