We recommend to rent instruments for beginners. String instruments come in different sizes for different sized players. Until students are fully grown, it is best to rent before purchasing. Purchasing an instrument comes with risks as well. The quality may not be as good as an instrument from a shop. The worse the quality, the more likely a student will not want to play and practice that instrument. The following links are to shops near school.
