PROJECT LEAD THE WAY: DESIGN & MODELING/BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
This is a semester course that includes one quarter of Design & Modeling, and one quarter of Building for the Future. During Design & Modeling, students are introduced to and use the design process to solve problems and understand the influence that creative and innovative design has on our lives and in engineering. Students use industry standard 3D modeling software (Autodesk Inventor/Sketch Up) to create a virtual image of their designs. Students will have the opportunity to 3-D print their creations.
From architecture and civil engineering to carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems - students in Building for the Future will explore the world of construction by designing and building real-world solutions using the tools and transferable skills that help industry professionals succeed in their careers. This dynamic course introduces learners to high-demand skilled trades and empowers them to design sustainable, functional spaces for tomorrow's communities. Whether they are creating or analyzing blueprints, or constructing prototypes, students will gain practical experience, technical skills, career insights, and the confidence to build their own futures - literally.

MAKERS & INNOVATORS
Makers and Innovators is a hands-on STEAM course that encourages students to apply creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges. Through projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, and design, students will learn to plan, build, test, and refine their ideas. Topics may include prototyping, basic coding, structural design, and innovative use of materials and technology.
This course also introduces students to career-technical education (CTE) concepts, helping them explore how skills in engineering, design, manufacturing, and technology relate to future career pathways. Students will engage in foundational experiences that prepare them for high school CTE programs and emerging STEAM fields.
