Motion
We have been using Scratch to code our own paddle ball games. The aim is to bounce the ball off of the edge of the screen and paddle to earn points. This tested our block-based coding skills.

Year 6 ART CLUB
This week we began our modelling clay project. Using plasticine we practised using coloured strips to create cross-section images. Using craft knives and cutting mats we cut through our cylinders of clay to see the pictures inside!
Year 3,4,5 ART CLUB
Year 3, 4 and 5 have been experimenting with watercolour paints
Volleyball Club
Fireball volleyball club was great fun this week - we were learning how to defend and attack.
Ukulele club
Ukulele club have been learning to play a range of songs using a variety of chords.
year 6 Dodgeball club
Year 6 have been learning to play dodgeball on a Tuesday lunchtime. This has definitely brought out their competitive side! Some excellent throwing, catching and dodging skills by all of the children.
Year 6 ART CLUB
year 3 and 4 science club - exploring water travel and science physics
In our first Science Club session this week, the children dived into a fascinating experiment exploring how water moves through a material — they set up a series of beakers connected by paper towels and watched as coloured water was drawn along from one to another. The food colouring made it easy to see how the water travelled and mixed between beakers.
This experiment mirrors how plants absorb water through their roots and transport it up through stem tissues, using a natural process called capillary action. The children were amazed when they returned later to find how the water had moved — and it sparked lots of questions about how real plants “drink.”
They were fully engaged throughout, working hands-on, observing closely, and eagerly discussing what they saw. It was a fantastic start to Science Club, and I’m already looking forward to building on this curiosity in future sessions.
