What can I do after Ringmer?

There are a number of options you can take once you leave us at the end of Year 11.

  1. You could go to a Sixth Form of a school such as Uckfield, or a Further Education College such as East Sussex College, and study A Levels. These tend to be in academic subjects similar to the ones you have studied in school, such as History. They are called Level 3 courses.

  2. You can also study T Levels at Level 3 in a Further Education College https://amazingapprenticeships.com/resource/what-are-tlevels-film/

  3. Or you could take a Level 3 qualification in a BTEC. These tend to be in much more vocational courses such as engineering.

  4. You can also take vocational courses at Level 2 or 1.

  5. Or you could do an apprenticeship. This is a job, so you get paid, but you also carry on with your training and get a qualification at the end.

Level 1 courses = you get a qualification which is the same as GCSE grades 4-1

Level 2 courses = you get a qualification which is the same as GCSE grades 4-9

Level 3 courses = you get a qualification that is higher than GCSEs.
