For the 2025-26 we are looking to achieve...
Make the school more recycle friendly and have more visible and well placed recycling bins, by changing our suppliers and collaborators from Biffa to CountryStyle: https://www.countrystylerecycling.co.uk/about-us/
A gardening club that promotes a farm to kitchen lifestyle, with the added possibility of growing some of the produce used in the school kitchens
Coping the recent addition onto the pool we would like to invest in more panels for other buildings
A secure location for leaving bicycles during the school day, One place fore each part of the school and bike days
The possible reintroduction of a meat free Monday program with the focus on vegetables rather than meat-substitutes
A larger number of water fountains around the school in key locations to increase the availability of water, and reduce the number of plastic water bottles
And hopefully so much more!
If you have any ideas, reach out to a member or talk to/email Mr Rivers for King's Senior or Mrs MacDonald for King's Junior Eco-Councils.
Let's make it better!
