POLICY REGARDING PHYSICAL EXAMS FOR SPORTS

Regulations require the school to have a current physical on file for the entire season (current physicals need to be dated within 13 months of activity).

Please note If your child's current physical is dated between January 22, 2020 & March 25 2020 it will expire during the fall II season.

Please plan ahead and schedule a new appointment for around the same date as the old one so you can submit a new physical prior to the expiration date(remember the old one is good for 13 months)

If we do not receive a new physical before the 13 month expiration date the athlete will become ineligible to play until a new physical is submitted. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

PLEASE NOTE DUE ACCORDING TO DPH RECOMMENDATIONS ALL PHYSICALS MUST HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED IN PERSON - WE CANNOT ACCEPT PHYSICALS THAT WERE DONE VIA TELE-HEALTH - PLEASE CLICK LINK FOR DOCUMENTATION

NOTE IF YOU UPLOADED YOUR PHYSICAL FOR THE FALL II PRESEASON AND IT EXPIRED WE WILL NEED A NEW ONE - IF IT IS STILL CURRENT YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND IT IN.

CONCUSSION BASELINE EXAM AND COURSE (2 SEPARATE THINGS)

King Philip Athletes must complete a baseline concussion test every 2 years. This is set up so that it is usually done for all Juniors and Freshman. In the event that your child did not complete a baseline concussion test at KP last year (examples include - transfer as a sophomore or senior, did not participate last year or any other reason) you child must complete in order to be eligible to participate in sports.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic baseline concussion tests will be administered at home this year. This test must be completed by 2/15/2021

NOTE: IF YOU TOOK THE TEST FOR FALL PRESEASON YOU DO NOT NEED TO REDO IT - IF YOU DID NOT AND YOU ARE IN ONE OF THE CATAGORIES LISTED ABOVE YOU MUST COMPLETE THE TEST TO PARTICIPATE.

The free on-line courses is available through the link below and contains all the information required by law. At the end of the course you will receive a completion receipt, The entire course, including registration can be completed in less than 30 minutes – This is not the same as the baseline IMPACT test(listed above)
