The Massachusetts ecosystem is incredibly precious and unique. Many factors contribute to the diverse landscape of land and sea creatures that call this region home. However, the effects of climate change—clearly felt here through increasingly warmer winters and more intense summers—threaten to disrupt life all around us. From expanding urban areas to rising temperatures and water levels, these changes put many species at risk.
Below, you will find information on how simple actions can help our local ecosystems. The tabs above will give you information about the animals found in Massachusetts and how we can help protect them.
This project was created by the 2025 Art for Advocacy members at
King Philip Regional Middle School in Norfolk, Massachusetts.
We dedicated our time to this project not only to celebrate the animals that surround us but also to learn how we, as inhabitants of this land and neighbors to these creatures, can help protect them. Thank you for taking the time look at our hard work, both through our research and our art. Every action, no matter how big or how small, can impact our planet.
Sincerely,
The KPMS Art for Advocacy Club
