Breast Cancer Awareness Candle
Breast Cancer Awareness Candle
Why we chose this cause: Breast Cancer is a cause that has a meaning for a lot of people and families. We both think that even just having a small candle in your home can make a big impact on raising awareness.
Suicide Prevention Awareness Candle
Why we chose this cause: Suicide is sadly a common thing in the world these days. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US. In 2019, adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 24 had a suicide rate of 13.95. We believe that raising awareness for this cause will make people want to step up to help those that are struggling.
Mental Health Awareness Candle
Why we chose this cause: Mental Health/Illness is something that hits very close to home for all of us. Learning about mental health has not only helped us, but it has made us want to help others. We think by having this candle in peoples' homes it will encourage those struggling with mental health issues to open up to others and hopefully get help.
Alzheimer's Awareness Candle
Why we chose this cause: Meghan’s grandfather suffered from Alzheimer's for three years, allowing her to experience first hand what someone diagnosed with Alzheimers goes through. The exponential heartbreak you go through knowing that they don’t have the power to know what is going on is traumatic on someone. Realizing that no one ever talked about what her grandfather really went through, and no one participated in any kind of awareness is the main reason why the Alzheimers candle is so important to us. This allows everyone to acknowledge Alzheimers.
Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Candle
Why we chose this cause: A close friend of ours has Multiple Sclerosis. She does the MS bike ride every year, along with a few of her family members. It always makes us feel so happy seeing that all of these people gather to raise money and awareness for this one cause. That is what we hope to do with this candle. For it to be a symbol of strength and willpower representing those who fight with MS every day.
Down Syndrome Awareness Candle
Why we chose this cause: Down Syndrome is close to both of our hearts. We know that by having a Down Syndrome Awareness candle we will be able to spread awareness for the cause.
