Schneider Opportunities- Offers a paid five-week training course at several facilities for individuals with a commercial learner’s permit — drive an automated transmission truck and take your skills test at Schneider’s facility. Fill out an application if available near you.
Schedule:
Weeks 1 & 2 - Classroom Instruction and on-the-job driving.
Weeks 3 & 4 - Go out with our training engineer where we will be doing 80% of the driving.
Week 5 - CDL road skills test preparation and final preparation to be turned over to operations.
You have Saturdays and Sundays off.
You spend two weeks total with a training engineer. They reimburse you for your meals if you keep your receipts during that time. They will also provide transportation if you are required to meet your training engineer away from where you currently live. It is two to a truck during training which is a great ratio.

Modest Needs is dedicated to helping hourly workers impacted by the coronavirus, as well as others in need of short-term, hourly assistance. Provides support with financial/rental assistance, utilities, and food.
Girls Link Up Assistance - Need access to food, utility assistance, diapers, or transportation support. Click on the Assistance Link to request assistance through 3D Girls Inc. Since March 2020, 3D Girls, Inc. has supported over 500 women and girls who’ve experienced a lack of access to essential materials during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to strategically provide resources to families impacted by hardships, we have launched an Emergency Assistance Program. The purpose of this initiative is to provide emergency financial assistance and resources to families who are most vulnerable during these times.
Operation Hope Savings Account (Current APS Kinder and 1st Grade Families Only)-The HOPE Child Savings Account (CSA) program provides qualifying Atlanta Public Schools (APS) kindergartners with a free savings account and a one-time deposit of $50. The savings account, managed by Operation HOPE, will be a starting point for savings reserved for expenses related to post-secondary education and career preparation.

Kate's Club- A community for children and teens, their families, and young adults who experienced the death of someone close to them.
Burial Assistance- Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) provides burial assistance to families of people who die in Fulton County and are unable to afford a decent burial. The contact number is (404) 699-4387.
Strayer University- In response to the clear need for sustained change – the kind that comes from informed leaders and committed citizens – Strayer University has founded the Fellows for Justice Program. This fellowship program will support the next generation of social justice leaders by helping build the talent and leadership skills they need to respond to and lead the work necessary to mitigate social and economic inequalities. The fellowship will award 50 full-tuition scholarships toward earning a bachelor’s degree at Strayer University.
Fellows can pursue degrees in accounting, business administration, criminal justice, or information technology. As part of the fellowship, students will learn from social justice leaders, participate in discourse, and create positive action through experiential learning and professional development. They will also work with community organizations to complete meaningful, impactful social justice-related projects.
Free CDA Training- Our program is designed specifically for individuals who are unemployed and wish to work with young children. In exchange for the training program, books and materials and payment for your Verification Visit you will provide Volunteer Service directly to The TJac Educational Consulting Group. All classes are taught online. Register today in order to be on your way to employment very soon.

Fulton County Resources: Leaders announce updates to the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Effective immediately, qualifying Fulton County residents outside the City of Atlanta can receive up to 18 months of rental assistance. In addition, the cap on maximum rent payments per month has been removed.
Qualifying Fulton County residents outside of the City of Atlanta may apply for assistance to cover eligible expenses including rent, delinquent rent, past due gas, water, and electrical utilities incurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Click HERE to learn more.
