Although Kimberly Juniors is an instructional organization, you may see KJs in uniform engaging the community in different capacities throughout the year.
Holiday Community Activities
In December, KJs wear their uniform for a special day of holiday shopping benefiting Family Services of Redlands. They put energy and thought into each toy purchase to make the holiday a little more special for many children.
KJs also participate in uniform at the annual Redlands Christmas Parade, an evening event during which they ride on a specially decorated float and distribute candy to children in attendance.
Summer Community Activities
During the summer, Kimberly Juniors may be asked to participate in off-season activities that heighten public awareness of the organization and promote community outreach. These traditions include:
Walking in the Redlands 4th of July Parade
Ushering during an evening performance at the invitation of the Redlands Bowl
Because these events take place outside of the regular meeting year, parents will be notified of these opportunities via email.
In 2025, Kimberly Juniors adopted Citrus Street from University Street to Ford Street in Redlands. They will conduct cleanups at least 4 times per year and will monitor street conditions on behalf of city staff.
Kimberly Juniors have a long history of serving Kimberly Crest, which was home to Mrs. Kimberly and Mrs. Shirk. They have performed at Princess at the Castle and continue to serve during Kimberly Crest's holiday events.

Caring for Community
Kimberly Juniors also participates in community throughout the school year. In past years, KJs have created and delivered cards for seniors and veterans, crafted blankets for local animal shelters, and delivered handmade gift bags to healthcare workers. KJs maintain their own historic archive through annual work at the A.K Smiley Library. They also shop for toys and gifts every December to donate to our local youth.
